Siren Vaulting is a UK-based equestrian vaulting group that strives to be accessible to everyone, promoting inclusivity in the sport. They cater to a diverse range of participants, including para-vaulters and RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) vaulters, providing specialized training for individuals with physical and mental disabilities. The group also supports vaulters dealing with mental health issues, offering a positive, therapeutic environment where participants can benefit from the physical and emotional aspects of vaulting.
Siren Vaulting is LGBTQ+ friendly, creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals from all backgrounds. Their ethos centers around inclusivity, ensuring that the sport is accessible to a wide range of people regardless of ability, background, or identity. By focusing on both physical and mental well-being, Siren Vaulting fosters a community where every individual can develop their skills, build confidence, and feel accepted.
Siren Vaulting offers one-on-one private training sessions, providing personalized coaching tailored to the individual needs and goals of each vaulter. These sessions allow vaulters to receive focused attention from experienced coaches, ensuring that they can progress at their own pace. Whether it’s for beginners who need to build foundational skills or advanced vaulters aiming to refine their techniques, private training offers a flexible and customized approach.
The private sessions are designed to help vaulters improve their balance, coordination, and confidence on the horse, with careful attention to safety and the vaulter’s unique physical and mental requirements. This personalized training is especially beneficial for para-vaulters, RDA vaulters, and those with specific challenges, as it ensures that each individual gets the support they need to thrive in the sport.
Siren Vaulting offers both static barrel training and mechanical barrel training as part of its comprehensive approach to equestrian vaulting. Static barrel training involves practicing gymnastic and balance movements on a stationary vaulting barrel, helping vaulters develop core strength, flexibility, and technique in a controlled environment. This training method is crucial for mastering routines before transitioning onto a moving horse, allowing vaulters to focus on their form and coordination without the added challenge of a horse’s movement.
In addition to static barrels, Siren Vaulting has partnerships with facilities that provide access to both Racewood and MOVIE mechanical vaulting horse simulators. These mechanical barrels simulate the movement of a horse, offering vaulters the opportunity to practice more dynamic routines. By using a mechanical barrel, vaulters can experience the rhythm and motion similar to that of a cantering horse, giving them an extra layer of preparation before riding. This combination of static and mechanical barrel training enhances the overall training experience, helping vaulters of all levels improve their skills in a safe and structured way.
Siren Vaulting provides training on vaulting horses as a core part of its program, offering vaulters the opportunity to practice their skills on well-trained, calm, and responsive horses. These specially selected horses are accustomed to the movements and rhythms of vaulting, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for vaulters to develop their techniques.
During training sessions, the horse moves at a consistent gait, usually in a circle controlled by a lunger, while the vaulter performs a series of gymnastic movements, from basic poses to advanced acrobatics. Siren Vaulting’s horses are trained to work harmoniously with the vaulters, which helps participants build confidence and refine their balance, coordination, and strength in a real-world vaulting scenario. This hands-on experience with vaulting horses is essential for vaulters to advance in the sport, enabling them to transition smoothly from barrel training to performing on a live, moving horse.
